YES! Ants are a main disease carrying pest
When ants are in their nest they crawl through their own waste material and crawl around the yard over dog feces and other waste matter.
Then when they enter your home they crawl around bathrooms and garbage cans. They then crawl over your kitchen counters and left over foods.
The whole time their body hairs are picking up and depositing bacteria and other microorganisms throughout your home.
