Confused Flour BeetleConfused Flour BeetleThese reddish-brown insects are very small - 3/20" (4mm), have 4 antennae segments, and can lay up to 400 eggs that could hatch in as little as 7 weeks. They will feed on nearly any dried, stored food - cereals, peas and beans, nuts and fruit, spices and chocolate, and grains such as flour. Eggs, larvae, and adults can all be destroyed by extended freezing temperatures (4 or more days below 0°F).
